Dr. Baranski’s Tips on Healthy Running!:

  • Stick to the 10% rule.  Don’t increase mileage or speed more than 10% each week.
  • Warm up before you run.
  • After your run do your stretches.
  • Fix your form.  Pick the right shoe for you.  Owners of Sports stores will help you pick your shoe.  Rotate your shoe.
  • Keep it even.  Run on even pavement – and preferably on earth.
  • Strength training for muscles used for running. This will help your form in longer mileages.  Advanced Spine and Sport can help with this – Call them at (805) 642-4061 for a free consultation!
  • Get in shape before you run.
