Q&A with CIPCUG Session 115

Tor browser logo

K Edward Lynch:  What’s up with Tor browser??

Fred Krueger: I spent most of the day on the phone and computer dealing
with some insurance agents. some of the time I was waiting for call
backs and during those times
I received at least 4 calls from people
I did not believe were legitimate. They wanted to sell me some kind of
insurance. I do not believe that those calls were coincidence. We have
the Spectrum bundle here. I think there is something fishy at Spectrum.
A few telemarketers maybe but not all insurance sellers.

Q&A with CIPCUG Session 114

yahoo!

Fred Krueger   I find under devices that I have near 200 listed. Most of them are the name of my computer and or my router. What is going on here? Is it safe to get rid of this long list or just leave it alone?

Andy Toth   With OneDrive, I logged onto my Win10 computer as usual (local account). OneDrive account is setup to automatically log in. I copied one file to the documents folder on OneDrive. This is the only file on/in OneDrive. I edited the file on my local drive. The changes were not reflected in the file on OneDrive.

Q&A with CIPCUG Session 86

Facebook Watch gaining traction

John Norbutas   I am looking for alternative methods for password protecting pdf files. I have an older version of Adobe Acrobat on an older computer. Anything newer and cheaper?

Tony Pizza   Just got one of those pop-up scarewares warning me my computer was hosed. Since clicking anywhere in an attempt to close it might do something bad, I used ALT-F4 to close the window and browser.

Judy Taylour   My HP laptop goes to a black screen in less than 5 minutes — especially today when I had to sit here and forward the e-mail with the links to more than 50 people who registered after 6am ET. It seems I would just turn my back and I’d have to wiggle my mouse and click again on Sign in.
