FCC repeals Privacy Rules

Lisa Toth   Message from Malwarebytes.  “These items have been quarantined by Malwarebytes.”  Do you know what this is? It says it is in win/explorer.

Roger Houston   My desktop Win-10 machine will automatically and unwantedly reboot at least once per day, starting maybe a month ago. It used to do it only once or twice per week. Can I stop this reboot sequence?

John Weigle   If I have a Microsoft login on my laptop is that an MS account? If so, can I use the same account on my desktop? Or do I have to have separate MS accounts for every machine. If I can use the same login and password on two machines, how do I get it on in the desktop?

News Item:   Over the course of the year, the number of apps in the Apple store declined from 2.2 million to 2.1 million the first ever drop in apps. Also, new apps declined 29% year over year.  Meanwhile, Android apps continued their upward momentum and now outnumber iOS apps 3.5 million to 2.1.

News Item:   After the government killed net neutrality, who cares about Facebook’s gathering of data?  Charter, AT&T, Verizon and a dozen others are a way larger threat to our data security.  At about the same time the F.C.C. voted to stay requirements that internet service providers must take “reasonable measures” to protect confidential information they hold on their customers, such as Social Security numbers and credit card information.

Sue Nethercott   If Trump’s administration ends net neutrality, how much effect would it have outside of the USA, and how likely is it that people would find an alternative?
