About Snoopy (from Wikipedia):

Snoopy is Charlie Brown’s pet beagle in the comic strip Peanuts by Charles M. Schulz. He can also be found in all of the Peanuts movies and television specials, like The Peanuts Movie. Since his debut on October 4, 1950, Snoopy has become one of the most recognizable and iconic characters in the comic strip. The original drawings of Snoopy were inspired by Spike, one of Schulz’s childhood dogs.

Snoopy and Charlie Brown were ranked by TV Guide as the 8th greatest cartoon characters of all time.

Snoopy appeared on the October 4, 1950, strip, two days after the first strip. He was called Snoopy for the first time a month later, on November 10. On March 16, 1952, his thoughts were first shown in a thought balloon. Snoopy first appeared upright on his hind legs on January 9, 1956, when he was shown ice-skating across a frozen lake.

Despite his history of conflicted loyalties and his inability to remember Charlie Brown’s name (he refers to him as “that round-headed kid”), Snoopy has shown both love and loyalty to his owner. He joins Charlie Brown in walking out of a game of Ha-Ha Herman when Peppermint Patty insults Charlie Brown, unaware that Charlie Brown is within earshot. He also helps Charlie Brown recover his autographed baseball when a bully takes it and challenges Charlie Brown to fight him for it. When Charlie Brown has to stop dedicating himself to making Snoopy happy, Snoopy replies, “Don’t worry about it. I was already happy.” In The Peanuts Movie, Snoopy remains loyal to Charlie Brown, supporting and caring for him throughout the movie.

In early Peanuts strips, Charlie Brown was not Snoopy’s owner (as seen in the February 2, 1951, strip), and it was initially not clear who his owner actually was. The September 29, 1951 strip implied that Snoopy was owned by Shermy. Charlie Brown was first portrayed as being responsible for Snoopy in the strips of November 1 and 3, 1955; it was not until September 1, 1958 that Snoopy was specifically said to be Charlie Brown’s dog.

Ask Dr. Bunny. How can we diminish children’s suffering? Christine Crockett-Smith, guest

Christine Crockett-Smith joins Dr. Bunny in Santa Clara, California, at Brendan Burchard’s World’s Greatest Speaker seminar, to discuss parenting, bullies, diminishing the suffering of children and two very special projects.

The first project is a book that Christine wrote called “18 Master Values – Be The Parent You Wish You’d Had” . It comes from her own chaotic childhood and seeks to help parents. Christine calls on every parent to look at every single thing they’ve been told or taught, see which things are dissonant, (and give themselves permission to let those things go), and which things resonate, (and give themselves permission to seek and find out more about that).

Christine’s second project is a very special conference coming up on March 10, 2018. It is called “The Power Of One Conference – Encouraging conscious living by celebrating those who are living consciously”.

For each ticket sold, one will be provided to a person who is using their time, talent, money, gifts and energy to make the world a better place, but would not be able to afford to purchase a ticket at this time.

About “The Power Of One Conference – Encouraging conscious living by celebrating those who are living consciously”:

Come join us for the day and mix and mingle with extraordinary human beings who are consciously choosing to change the world. There will be speakers, interviews and panels sharing cutting edge stories about:

• Conscious Capitalism
• Healthcare
• Education
• The Environment
• Social Justice
• Parenting

Some of the topics are too big for just one person! For these, we’ll have three panelists and a moderator who will get the most out of the synergy that these people create. Check back periodically to see what new stories are being added!

Everyone has a story, but not everyone wants to stand up and deliver it alone. We’ll have several guest interviewers getting the most out of guiding some of our guests as they share how they came to be who they are, and how they’re changing the world.

Why Power of One?
During the 2016 United States presidential election, conference host, Christine Crockett Smith, was safely out of the country. She was appalled as she witnessed all of the people back home hurling vitriol back and forth at each other, with such intense energy. She finally started telling them that if they would all just wake up in the morning and consciously decide to direct all of that energy towards something that pulled at their heartstrings instead of politics – whether it’s helping old people, poor people, young people or puppies – the world would be a better place. Sharing that thought made her realize that if everyone would do that, all the world’s problems would be solved. It was then she started becoming joyfully aware of all of the people who were doing just that.
In addition, she hopes the videos from the conference highlighting all of these amazing humans can help inspire young people to identify their own talents and gifts, and to embrace the concept that they, too, can choose to change the world.

How are the speakers chosen?
As soon as the idea became strong enough that it HAD to become a reality, people began to show up. There are so many wonderful people doing such good work in the world! And everyone living consciously knows others who are as well. The choices were made to keep the day as diverse and rich as possible. Unfortunately, there are way more people doing good work in the world than we have time for this year. That’s why we’ve already started putting the slate together for 2019! If you know of anyone who might like to share how they are changing the world, we’d love to hear about them! We’ll be sure to reach out and if they’re a good fit, perhaps we’ll have them on the stage at the next event.

The conference will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 10th at the Palace Theater in Grapevine, Texas. The day will end at 5:00 p.m.  Sponsor parties will be held both Friday and Saturday evenings.
