“Q&A with CIPCUG session 162”

John Weigle   For those of us who sometimes get distracted or forgetful, has anyone developed software that would tell me, for instance, that Microsoft is updating Windows 10 so U won’t shut the computer down by mistake? I try to remember to check every time I start to shut down, but sometimes… It would also be nice to know if my AV program is scanning or something is being downloaded. I’m sure there are some other things we might like to have warnings about.

Q&A with CIPCUG session 161

Lisa Toth   I just finally got mail on outlook after not getting any since Tuesday. Have no idea how many emails I got but I know it is a couple hundred.  It’s Friday. Absolutely nothing was changed to make it stop or start.  I rebooted the computer a couple minutes ago and that’s when it started downloading. I had rebooted a couple times each day thinking that might help.

Fred Krueger   All of a sudden I cannot get internet connection to my TV. I have turned off the router and the TV box, played with the router settings where I had to log into everything on the computer to get it up again. The router indicates the wifi is up an running I put in the correct password and everything checks except internet connection. Any Ideas?  I have talked to Spectrum, and they passed me on to Samsung. The verdict is the problem is my router settings.
I am having a lot of difficulty with the Netgear genie.
It would help if I knew more about this router setting business.
