Q&A with CIPCUG Session 233

Andy Toth   I have a Cannon Printer purchased 16 months ago. I can scan documents very easily. However to print, I have to re-install the printer drivers each time. It is annoying and I’m considering e-waste. Any Ideas?

Lisa Toth   I’ve just spent a very frustrating 2 hours trying to sign in to my new insurance plan.  I did everything the tech

people told me to do.  Finally one of them asked me which browser I was using.  I told her Edge of course.  After discussing other options, The only other browser I have installed is Firefox.  After switching to Firefox, all went as expected. I now many have several browsers installed and I’m wondering how many we should have.  The ins company said they recommend Chrome.

Andy Toth   I am trying to install Office 2019. The CIPCUG purchased product was downloaded and copied to CD. The new computer has no CD drive.

Q&A with CIPCUG Session 229

Lisa Toth   Tell me why a new piece of electronics big or small are so hard to set up and get working. Why does following the instructions not produce the results expected. Why is it that the picture in the leaflet or the screen online does not match what you see before you?

Nuro R2

Lisa Toth   I got a new charge 4 Fitbit tracker watch. I have not yet gotten it set up. I follow the instructions but what I see is not what I am supposed to see.
