Q&A with CIPCUG session 159

John Weigle   The company that provides washing machines at my condo complex has switched to a pay by app rather than with coins. The company wants me to add an app to my phone to send money to the washer company. I have some reservations about the security of this.

Tony Pizza   I’ve been given an old portable 3.5″ external disk drive enclosure. Although the computer makes a chime when it’s plugged in but explorer doesn’t recognize it. It has a driver disk for Win 2000, Win 98, Me and Vista. Any chance any of them would work with Win 10? I found a potential Win 10 driver at https://www.driverguide.com/driver/detail.php…. How safe is the site DriverGuide?

K Edward Lynch   How do we know if our phone is listening to us???? Any resource on the net or an app?

Q&A with CIPCUG Session 155

Lisa Toth   Two questions:  I am using Firefox as my browser.  I have win 10 and a Toshiba laptop.

Some sites that I want to visit and that I trust always get stopped by FF and I have to select allow.  I have tried to find a way to white list them but can’t find it.  Also, lately my browser has been slow.  Occasionally I get a message that a page is slowing FF down and do I want to wait or stop the page.
