Today, Dr. J and Dr. Bunny reflect on Father’s Day. The great thing about having a dad, Dr. J tells us, is having support so if you mess up, you have someone to pick up the pieces.

Dads are the cornerstones of our society. If a young person doesn’t have a father, it is devastating. Dr. J and Dr. Bunny suggest for them to find a mentor. The Boy’s and Girl’s Club or your church are good places to find father figures.

Dr. J remembers his father being hard working, dedicated and loyal to his family. His dad would work 20 hours a day and half a day on Saturdays. Dr. J has taken on the same fierce goals in his own life.

He tells a nostalgic story about how, on Saturday afternoon, they would go to Yankee Games.  The stadium was just down the street from their house! At that time tickets were less than five dollars. On Wednesdays his dad would get free beer and his son – two free hot dogs!
