Today, Dr. J and Dr. Bunny discuss the effects of poor habits and the deep hold they have on us. A few harmful habits include: consumption of gluten, sugar, and smoking.
Gluten intolerance affects millions of people today. “Gluten is part of the tough, elastic protein found in wheat, rye, barley, oats, and many other grains. Gluten is formed when the proteins glutenin and gliadin, present in flour, combine with water.”
Dr. Bunny shares that her husband is gluten intolerant and has skin flare-ups when he accidentally eats gluten. Because of this, she cooks with many different kinds of flour. Dr. Bunny is going to post a recipe for sweet potato, gluten-free muffins!
Sugar is also a substance that is seriously over-eaten today. Diabetes debilitates 40-60% of the population. A significant amount of that 60% end up with blindness, dialysis, and amputations.
Smoking, a deadly habit and extremely difficult to quit. Dr. J and Dr. Bunny share accounts of people they know who, while in the hospital on oxygen, still smoke!
Dr. J and Dr. Bunny are saddened by the deadly serious problems caused by the deeply ingrained habits listed above. They offer successful medical and therapeutic programs. Make the commitment!
