In this today’s show, Dr. J and Dr. Bunny interview each other! They discover that they were born on opposite sides of the continent – Dr. Bunny in San Diego, and Dr. J in New York City! Dr. Bunny was born on the cusp of the Baby Boom Generation and Dr. J was born at the end of it!
Dr. Bunny is the oldest of 3 and at a young age took care of her little brothers because her mother went to work. She doesn’t regret not having a childhood. She learned to cook and clean and still enjoys making soup for her husband and friends. She even has a Facebook page: Bunny’s Soup Kitchen!
Dr. J says he is waiting for his bowl of soup!
Dr. J talks about how he went through high school in New York City, to college and medical school in his country of origin, the Dominican Republic, and to Rutgers University for his PhD. He became a doctor at twenty-four! At fifty-five that is more than half his life. He almost can’t remember when he wasn’t doctor!
If not doctoring, what would he like to do or be? Dr. Bunny asks. A musician, Dr. J replies. Trained professionally at the piano, Dr. J found that he loves the guitar more and owns a number of unique “extended” guitars.
