Anna shares valuable knowledge about how emotions played a huge part in her speech issues. She had stuttered since she was a child and had so many feelings of fear and frustration from it.
She tells us how she reached a point where she couldn’t go on any longer with the stuttering issues, and that she looked ‘outside’ of the regular things that she knew in life, and explored Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). At first she thought her NLP coach was just talking gibberish, but found she loved it!
Tune in and learn more about this fascinating woman who has an incredible story to share!
About Dr. Anna Margolina:
My name is Anna Margolina, Ph.D. I am a speaker, trainer, author, certified Healing Tao Instructor, Master NLP practitioner and hypnotherapist. Above all – I am a woman on a personal journey.
I grew up in Russia, in the Soviet Union. I graduated from the Russian Medical University in 1996 and got my PhD in biology in 1999. From 1997 to 2001 I worked as an editor and a science writer for the Russian Cosmetics&Medicine Journal. In 2001, I moved to the USA, to the beautiful Seattle area. Here, I continued working for selected cosmetic companies as a science researcher.
My science background and my work as a beauty science researcher taught me something very important – if we want to change something external, we need to know what is going on internally.
When you understand how our body works, it is easier to see which methods and approaches should work and which are a waste of time. Even now, when my focus shifted from the inner working of the skin to the inner workings of the mind, I can take a cosmetic products, look at the ingredients and tell if it is going to do anything for me. The same with various personal development modalities. I have to know what they do internally before I wholeheartedly invest my energy and my time.
There was a reason, of course, why I became interested in personal change. Just like many people who decide to take actions, I was deadly desperate.
Since I was a child I stuttered. Which means I couldn’t just tell a story like other children – I had to struggle, trying to get my words out. For years, I carried the burden of fear, embarrassment and deep feeling of inadequacy. I knew I was weird. I knew i was different. I knew I wasn’t fitting in.
