Lisa Toth   Several of my Last Pass sites don’t automatically sign in anymore. It seems to be the financial institutions. When I copy the info from Last Pass and paste it into the sign in dialog box, I can log in ok. Have you experienced this?

Lisa Toth   I just received this note: I cannot find out if it is real. Anyone get something like this?  “A password request was initiated on your behalf by our system at Marketing and Blah Blah.  Your password is: [jumbled text]”

Amazon buys Whole Foods

Lisa Toth:   I’m having problems replying to emails. Sometimes the receiver actually got the message but they get it multiple times and I get multiple “message returned” messages.  I am using Windows Live on my windows 10 laptop.

Rosalie Sherbrooke:   Is anyone else having a problem with LastPass today? It will not load in Chrome and when I got it to work in Edge and ‘launched’ one of my sites, it just took me there, without logging me in. Their icons, on the right of the login/password bars, were not there.

Q&A with CIPCUG – Session 39

Lisa Toth   My last pass app starting doing weird things and the only way to stop it was to unpin it from the firefox task bar. I went out to lastpass web page to see what I could do about this and the only thing I could find close to my problem told me to go to firefox extensions and uninstall then re install it. Well I was successful in uninstalling it but can’t seem to re-install it. I even downloaded it again but it just disappears into who knows where.  I did manage to get to my vault and I have that tab pinned to firefox but I’d like to get the full functionality back.

News Item  Starting this week, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates to Windows 7 & 8.1 computers that are installed on the latest hardware. If you are running a Kaby Lake (7th Generation) Intel processor or a late Skylake (6th Gen.) you will no longer receive updates.

Bill Wishon   I had a Win7 notepad that I updated to Win10. It fell behind on updates but finally installed the latest updates. Not too much later if failed to start and wanted me to repair or reinstall Win10.  It wouldn’t repair or reinstall so I finally just reinstalled Win7 and its updates. This is a backup computer so that was fine. I may try a Win10 upgrade again sometime but for now it is just an FYI.  Will MS remember that it was once updated to win10 and if not then what? Is there a contact number?
