Reverend Kat ~ The Soulsearch: How Your Relationships At Work Can Work!

Today, Reverend Kat takes a jump into relationships at work!

When you think about relationships, what comes to mind is family, friends and love.  However, relationships at work have a special dynamic.  One reason this could be, of course, is that it has to do with money and the stress involved.

In today’s show, Kat highlights 2 wonderful stories.  One is summarized below.

Kat worked for the postal service in Pennsylvania for fifteen years.  One of her jobs was conflict resolution and she worked with many offices spread out across Pennsylvania.

At that job, Kat discovered that all relationships, including work relationships, have a common denominator.  Though you make have opposite “positions” when you sit down with someone and “break bread” – you become a person instead of a “position.”   When Kat would meet with the people for conflict resolution at the post office, she would bring, coffee, bagels, snacks. She would request that they sit down together.

What Kat discovered every time was that every person wanted appreciation – to be understood, heard, treated with respect – not like a machine!

During this process, the conflict would resolve itself… “typically, it would just dissolve.”

Reverend Kat’s 3 Tips On Work Relationships

  1. Give positive attention to people in your work environment, for example, “break bread.”
  2. Become genuinely curious about something you are curious about.
  3. Assume that you are all connected already – don’t make assumptions about the people you think you know.

Tune into today’s eye-opening show and find out how to transform a toxic work environment to a human and life-giving space.

Listen to next weeks show.  Reverend Kat is going to delve into the law of attraction and how it works in relationships!

Until then remember to shine your light!

About Reverend Kat (from her website):

I began my career as a Spiritual Leader when I was 7 years old. Sitting in the field beside my house one day, I asked God why some people were so unhappy. A real voice answered (no kidding),“Your job on this earth is to teach people about love and how to have what they want in life”.

From that day on, I have pursued this with a passion. From my original dream of becoming either a missionary or an actress, I have crafted a career that is grounded in Spirit as I tune into a channel that broadcasts what’s in others’ hearts and souls.

As a spiritual leader, I teach, write, and perform on life’s stage… and, as the voice predicted so long ago, I teach people about love and how to manifest from the heart.

I have faced many challenges in my life including the death of my mother when I was young, being kidnapped as a teenager and leaving a 20 plus year marriage in my 40’s. I have learned a ton through the school of hard knocks and delightful surprises as well as the training noted below.

Reverend Kat ~ The Soulsearch: Self Love To World Love – “Crazay” Time For Yourself!

In today’s show, Reverend Kat asks – “What are you doing right now?”  She asks us to stop – perhaps stop in our thinking!

Kat created the Soulsearch because after so many years as a minister, she realized people were not taking time for a connection to themselves.

“We all require time to just be!”

Taking time can make all the difference in our well being and happiness.

If we take care of ourselves,  we will have more care to give others.  Sometimes Kat feels stress and needs to stop and slow down. If she doesn’t do that, nature takes care of it for her: She gets sick or does something careless or she creates a problem in a relationship because she is tired.

Kat came up with “Crazay Time” to help with stress.   Crazay time is 3 hours with no obligations where she can do anything but doesn’t have to do anything!  She can let her mind wander, go shopping in downtown Ojai, or just look out the window.  To find out more details about Crazay Time, email Kat!  KatandCurtis@theSoulsearch.com

Reverend Kat reminds us that this is the perfect time for a rest… it is winter. Winter is the time of storing up of energy.  We all need to rest sometimes!

Time must be put in to aligning our minds and bodies.   If we treat ourselves lovingly, we will feel love for ourselves!  Then it is self love to world love.

Check out Kat’s website www.theSoulsearch.com and discover her loving leader quiz! (It’s about self love!)  Discover what makes you tick!

Don’t forget to tune in for next week’s show!  And – until then – remember to shine your light!

Reverend Kat ~ The Soulsearch: Are Limiting Beliefs Blocking Your Road To Happiness? Kiss Them Goodbye!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

In this week’s show, on Valentine’s Day, Reverend Kat calls out beliefs that are blocking your road to happiness.  They are toads!  Kiss them goodbye!

Replace them with loving and supportive beliefs so that you can live happily forever after!

Kat explains how limiting beliefs work when it comes to romantic relationships.  Romantic relationships can be fulfilling experiences and also full of pain and challenges.  When you are clear about your beliefs, you have clarity about what gets in your way and also where you shine in your relationships.

The Belief System:  Beliefs are habits of thinking and organize how you view life.

Beliefs are limiting or empowering: They can help you – They can get in your way – some are hidden – some you can unpack.

Most beliefs come from our childhood and tend to be “black and white” thinking.

Sample limiting beliefs that we repeat: “people always try to cheat me.”  “I am not good enough.”

Reverend Kat’s Process:  You can take a limiting belief and take a look at what you want.  You don’t even have to have a relationship to do this.  You can take action yourself!

Kat illustrates this process through a story about her dynamic, loving, musical dad and shows how the empowering belief she drew from her childhood – “men are romantic” – turned into a limiting belief – “no man could be as romantic as my dad.”

That limiting belief, affected her relationship and her feelings.   Then one Valentine’s Day she took a good look at this belief and checked in with herself to find out what she wanted.   She discovered that she wanted a heart to heart connection, to have fun, and to be herself.

This process shifted her belief it so that her relationship with her husband was freed up from limiting expectations and became more loving, dynamic and creative.

Listen to this week’s show – Reverend Kat wants to share this process of discovery with you!

Reverend Kat will continue her talks on relationships next week and until then – remember – shine your light!

Reverend Kat ~ The Soulsearch: Bringing Healing Into Relationships – The First Show In The Series!

In the first show of her Relationship Series, Kat examines bringing healing to relationships.

February, famous for Valentine’s Day, is a month when we focus on relationships.  Relationships have always fascinated Reverend Kat even before she became a relationship and life coach.

In relationships, we grow and become our very best person, and it is also the place where the shadow shows up.

In order to have healthy relationships we need to be aware of your wounds and have them healed. When we commit to healing in relationships we can be freed up.

Kat talks about the “garden variety” childhood wounds that affect us all.  In childhood, we all get wounded because children are sensitive, tender and focused on grown-ups who are they are dependent on for survival.

Reverend Kat’s Steps to Healthy Relationships

  1.  Awareness of our wounds.  Acceptance of our and other people’s wounds. Compassion.
  2. Taking ownership of our wounds without blame.
  3. Letting go, maybe praying.  Asking Spirit to heal.

Get started and write the steps above down. Then listen to Reverend Kat’s amazing show and visit her website for more illuminating information!

Next week, the Reverend Kat series on relationships continues.

Until then, remember, shine your light!

Reverend Kat ~ The Soulsearch: The Visioning Process – Why We Get Off Course And How Not To!

In today’s show, Reverend Kat confesses that she is not through the visioning process this year!

This year, when she sat down with her clients to work on their process, she was reminded of a certain year around 10 years ago (2007) when she and Curtis went off course!

What do you do when unexpected things happen, including those from your own mistakes?

In Kat’s story of 2007, they had a number of challenges and missed clues that were alerting them they were off course.

Instead of rearranging their vision and accepting reality, they bowled forward.  They started creating their life unconsciously.

Acceptance is key, Kat says!  You must accept and get anchored in reality – then you can align with Spirit and find what’s in your highest good.

You know what you want, but you still don’t know what is going to happen.  That is why Kat calls this kind of visioning a “destiny vision.”  This is what makes life interesting and exciting! It takes courage to face reality and stay engaged! “It’s not for sissies”

When you stay engaged there is always peace when you tune into your inner guidance system!

“If you want to create, be the creator!

Listen to today’s show and hear Kat’s 3 step visioning “mantra.”  Kat will lead you through the steps and help you to stay on board and connected!

Stay tuned for next week’s show and, until then, remember to shine your light!
