This week Dr. Bunny and Dr. J discuss weight management. How easy or how difficult is it to get into a habit to eat right and eliminate weight? A mutual friend had stopped by the office. A business leader, she had never met a challenge she couldn’t overcome except when it came to the personal challenge of weight management!
Dr. J. explains that in her case, and in many cases, the problem is the subconscious mind that doesn’t let us believe that we are skinny. As Dr. Bunny puts it – we can understand how things work but until we believe they can work for us, they won’t!
The word “try” is a major mistake… You do it or don’t do it. “Until you say I am going to do it – you don’t get out of the chair.” Dr. J and Dr. Bunny agree that, sometimes, we carry excuses with us like wheelchairs. A person may looking for the secondary gain of sympathy. I can’t lose weight because I can’t afford new clothes, I can’t control my diabetes, if I put myself first I would be a bad person!
These are excuses that we make for ourselves that prevent us from living life and eliminating weight!
What are your secondary gains, (the excuses) for not losing weight and getting healthy? They are like riptides – they take you out to sea. What is the riptide of life that is preventing you from losing weight?
Listen to today’s amazing show and hear more in-depth details about the subconscious mind and eliminating unwanted weight.
Listen for next week’s show when Dr. Bunny and Dr. J will continue their conversation on how to help people help themselves!
